英國脫歐公投進入最後階段，兩大陣營支持率再度出現變化，投資人更為相信最後結果將倒向留歐派，黃金隨之受累。然而，根據大宗商品市場研究顧問公司 CPM Group 的研究，無論週四 (23日) 公投結果為何，今夏金價都將改走下坡，預估年底才會回升至每盎司 1300 美元。
媒體《MarketWatch》報導，由於英國脫歐 (Brexit) 結果難料，這股不確定性成為金價上揚的堅實動力，並在上週四 (16日) 達到高點，創下 17 個月來新高，並呈現連續 3 週上漲。
然而，脫歐情緒反轉，續留歐盟民調支持率再取得超前，導致期金前夜下跌 0.2% ，至每盎司 1292.10 美元，係連續第 2 個交易日走跌。
CPM Group 的大宗商品市場分析師於週一 (20日) 公布的報告指出，英國若選擇與歐盟分道揚鑣，經濟與人民將受到負面衝擊，更有可能引發連鎖效應，讓歐盟其他會員國也起心動念，醞釀脫歐。
然而， CPM Group 的分析師認為，無論公投結果為何，金價都將轉為下跌，惟這幅度將因公投結果而異。換言之，若英國選擇續留歐盟，金價跌幅將更大；反之，若結果是脫歐，跌幅則較小。
除了英國脫歐公投的因素外， CPM Group 也認為預定於 7 月 8 日公布的 6 月份就業報告，或扭轉遠不及預期的 5 月份就業報告結果，從而壓低金價發展。另外，分析師也指出，夏季向來就是黃金淡季，因此也不利於金價續揚。
整體來看， CPM Group 預估金價在英國脫歐塵埃落定後，可能維持 3 個月的疲弱走勢，價格最低可能跌破每盎司 1180 美元。
